Network penetration testing in Kochi
Kochi's networks stretch from IT campuses at Kakkanad to hospitals, hotels with guest Wi-Fi and warehouses near the port. We probe the outside first and then the inside, working from Hyderabad, and visit a Kochi site when radio range or a physical device calls for it.

01 / Local need
Why Kochi organizations test their networks
Public Wi-Fi, shared buildings and port-side sites make Kochi networks unusually exposed.
An IT firm in a campus at Kakkanad shares a building, sometimes a floor, with other companies and relies on a VPN for people who work elsewhere. A hotel runs guest Wi-Fi next to the systems that hold bookings and payments. A hospital connects clinical, billing and guest networks over the same cabling. A forwarder or exporter near the port runs a warehouse network with scanners, cameras and a link to head office. The question for each is the same: what could someone reach from the outside, and from a plugged-in laptop?
The inside is normally reached remotely: a regular employee's VPN login, a jump host, or a small box that a colleague plugs in. Our network penetration testing page has the method, and VAPT services in Kochi has the local angle.
Choose a day for the readout early. Network findings are easiest to fix while the test is fresh, and in a small IT team the person who manages the firewall is often also the person who looks after the phones and the printers, so a booked hour protects the fixes from being overtaken by everyday work.
02 / Scope
Network estates we test most often in Kochi
Six kinds of environment cover most of our Kochi network work.
IT campus offices
Offices in shared buildings with a firewall, a VPN and cloud links. We list the public addresses, test the edge, then test what a laptop on the office network can reach.
Hospital networks
Clinical, billing and guest networks sharing infrastructure. We test segmentation and which systems a guest or office device can reach.
Hotel and resort networks
Guest Wi-Fi beside back-of-house systems. We test isolation between guests and staff networks, and what a guest device can see.
Port-side warehouse sites
Scanners, cameras and a link to head office. We test the site's internet exposure, the link and the devices that have default passwords.
Remote-access gateways
VPN and remote-desktop gateways for staff and vendors. We check firmware, authentication settings and whether a stolen password alone would be enough.
Branch and bank-linked sites
Small offices wired back to a lender or a head office. One typical site gets a deep test, plus the shared links every site depends on.
03 / From our guide
From our guide: remote internal testing and what you receive
Kochi buyers ask how a test reaches the inside without a visit and what the deliverable looks like. This is how our guide answers both.
How internal testing works remotely
You do not need the tester in your building. We usually connect through a VPN account, a virtual machine inside the network or a small device you place on it, and agree on fixed source addresses and testing windows. Our article on remote testing explains what needs access and what needs a visit.
What you receive
A report with the attack chains, proof for each finding, a risk rating that reflects your environment and a fix list in priority order. After you fix the main issues, a retest confirms they are closed. See how to read a VAPT report for what to look for.
Where radio range matters, as with guest Wi-Fi, we plan a short visit and keep the rest remote. The external edge, the tools and the order to test in are in the whole guide.
04 / What we find
Weak points we expect in Kochi networks
Shared buildings, public Wi-Fi and port sites leave recognizable gaps.
Show details for Weak points we expect in Kochi networks
- Guest Wi-Fi that sees the back office. A visitor's phone that can reach the booking server, a printer or a camera.
- Cameras and scanners with factory passwords. Warehouse devices reachable from the office network, and sometimes from the internet.
- Remote-desktop left open. A gateway exposed to the internet and protected only by a password.
- Shared building networks. A common switch or router in a multi-tenant building, reachable by neighbors, with default settings.
- Flat hospital networks. A billing PC that can reach clinical systems directly.
- Edge devices behind on updates. A firewall or VPN gateway several updates behind.
The report draws each route as a chain from entry to target, so a single change, such as isolating guests, can be seen closing several chains at once.
Several of these gaps close in a single afternoon once they are visible, and the report says which ones, so the quick wins are not delayed by the larger redesigns.
05 / Rules and customers
What drives network testing for Kochi organizations
Clients, insurers and regulators ask for it in different words.
Show details for What drives network testing for Kochi organizations
Overseas clients of IT firms ask for evidence of a regular network test, and auditors working with ISO 27001 expect a routine and fixed findings. Hotels that take cards think about PCI DSS, while hospitals and lenders answer to their own regulators, whose directions are a job for your compliance team.
The incident-reporting duty matters here too: our CERT-In article explains the six-hour and 180-day expectations, and a test shows whether your logs would capture an intruder's movements.
06 / How it runs
How a network test fits a Kochi estate
One call sets up the access, and visits are kept for what only a person on site can do.

Before day 1
Mapping the estate
Public addresses and internal ranges are listed, sites to leave alone are marked, and one entry route is chosen from three options: staff VPN login, jump host or a device someone on your team connects.
Day 1
Access and quiet hours
You let our addresses through and set up the way in. We agree quiet hours, and plan a short visit only if guest Wi-Fi or a physical device needs us nearby.
Days 2 to 7
Outside, then inside
The internet-facing devices are tested first and the inside after them; anything serious reaches you by phone that day.

07 / Questions to ask
What to ask a network tester about shared buildings and guest Wi-Fi
Kochi's mix of sites raises questions an office-only company does not have.
Show details for What to ask a network tester about shared buildings and guest Wi-Fi
- How will you test guest Wi-Fi without a visit, and when would you ask to come?
- What can a neighbor on a shared building network reach, and will you test it?
- Will you check cameras, scanners and printers, not just servers?
- How will you reach our inside network, and what do you need from us for that?
- Will the report draw routes as chains so one fix shows what it closes?
08 / Delivery
Delivery of network tests to Kochi organizations
Where the work happens
Testing is run from our office in Yellareddyguda, Hyderabad, which is our only office. Outside Hyderabad nothing about these tests needs us in your building; if a customer or a site rule asks for someone present, we come by arrangement and write the travel cost into the proposal.
What you receive
One report is written for management, customers and auditors, and a second, more technical one for the engineers who make the fixes. A walkthrough call covers both, and after your fixes we retest and mark each finding closed or open. Every inquiry gets a reply: we respond within 24 hours.
How to prepare
Test accounts, a staging address, our testing addresses allowed through your firewall and a named contact are what we ask for. The preparation article explains each item, and the one-page checklist (PDF) is a printable version.
09 / Price
What a network test costs in Kochi
Three to five public addresses amount to a small scope, priced from INR 9,000 + 18% GST for small scopes such as 3 to 5 external IP addresses or a simple WordPress website, including a vulnerability scan, manual checks, a written report and one free retest. Add an internal test, several sites or guest networks and the job moves to the standard band, which opens from INR 27,000 + 18% GST and rises with the estate; the VAPT cost guide has the details.
The starting price for small scopes includes one free retest. For larger scopes, the retest terms are written into the proposal before work starts.

Frequently asked questions
Short answers about scope, price and how testing works. For anything else, call +91 86868 92922.
Can an internal network test be done without visiting Kochi?
Usually, yes: a regular employee's VPN login, a jump host or a small box that a colleague connects gives us the position we need. A visit happens only when radio range or a physical device demands it. See the section on How a network test fits a Kochi estate above.
Do you test hotel guest Wi-Fi?
Yes. The encryption, the wall between guests and staff, and what a guest handset can see are all checked, with a short visit for the radio part. See the section on Network estates we test most often in Kochi above.
Do you test warehouse cameras and scanners?
Yes. We check what is reachable from the office network and from the internet and which devices still use default passwords. See the section on Network estates we test most often in Kochi above.
We share a building network with other firms. Is that in scope?
We test your side: what your devices can reach and what your neighbors' devices can reach of yours. We do not test their equipment. See the section on Weak points we expect in Kochi networks above.
Will testing disturb hospital or hotel operations?
The plan is built to prevent it: noisy checks wait for agreed quiet hours, and the written rules say when we pause and phone you. See the section on How a network test fits a Kochi estate above.
How is a network test priced?
External tests of a few addresses come from INR 9,000 + 18% GST for small scopes such as 3 to 5 external IP addresses or a simple WordPress website, including a vulnerability scan, manual checks, a written report and one free retest; internal work on a bigger estate begins from INR 27,000 + 18% GST.
